Heute gibt es erstaunlich viele Infos von Sony Ericsson über neue Handys und Accessoires. Eines der neuen Geräte ist das 3G Handy K630 mit HSDPA. Man kann zwischen zwei Farben wählen: Havana Gold und Quick Black und es ist nur 97 Gramm schwer. Vorinstalliert findet man Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, mit dem ein schneller Zugriff auf das Gerät garantiert wird. Außerdem gibt es weitere kleine Kniffe für den Desktop und auch eine one-press-access Funktion, mit der man mit nur einem Knopfdruck Zugang zu den Lieblingswebseiten oder RSS-Feeds erhält.

Heute wurden drei neue Samsung- Musikhandys vorgestellt: SGH-i450, SGH-F330, SGH-F210.
Das i450 ist ein Dual-Slider mit Touch-Wheel und iPod-ähnlicher Menüführung. Das Samsung SGH-F330 ist ebenfalls ein Slider, der Nachfolger des F300. Es unterstützt HSDPA und bietet eine 2 Megapixel Kamera. Das Samsung F210 ist der Musikspezialist unter den neuen Modellen und bringt integrierte Ohrhörer mit. Zusammengeklappt sieht es wie ein klassischer MP3-Player aus, doch wenn man es öffnet gibt es seine vielfältigen Telefonfunktionen preis.

Das E-Ten X800 hat vieles: Quad-band GSM, HSDPA, GPS - doch das Einzige was dem X800 fehlte war ein QWERTY Keypad. Aber nun kommt bald das M800 - mit benutzerfreundlicher QWERTY Tastatur! Der Preis wird sich vorraussichtlich auf ca. 599€ (ca. 850$) belaufen. Aber man bekommt auch eine Menge fürs Geld: z.B. Windows Mobile 6 Professional, einen VGA Touchscreen (480 x 640), HSDPA, SiRFstar III GPS und eine standard 2,5-mm Audiobuchse.

LG KU990 - das neue LG Prada?

Ähnlich wie das LG Prada, ist das KU990 ebenfalls ein tastaturloses Mobiltelefon mit einem großen 3"-Touchscreen. Das Infinuvo-Event am 3. Juli war sehr gut besucht. Natürlich nicht ohne Grund, schließlich konnte man essen bis man aus allen Nähten platzt, trinken, bis man nicht mehr geradeaus schauen konnte und sich natürlich auch über den Infinuvo Cleanmate informieren.
Sogar das Wetter hatte sich dafür entschieden, uns nicht mit ständigem Sturm und Regen zu drangsalieren und schließlich konnten wir Abends den Monstergrill "Hartmut" anwerfen um Haufenweise Roster zu grillen.
Wir freuen uns auf Sie auf unserem nächsten Event.

Apple hat den Verkauf der des myvu Personal Media Viewer im hauseigenen Apple Online Store gestartet. Die Einwohner 16 europäischer Staaten werden also die futuristische Brille in ihre Finger zu bekommen können.
Leider ist der myvu mit einem Preis von 349,99 € im deutschen Apple Store ein sehr teurer Weg um wegen eines Trekkie-ähnlichen Aussehens ausgelacht zu werden.

Während der Solution & Contents Exhibition of Korea hat LG sein neues 3G Mobiltelefon SH130 enthüllt.

Wiedermal ein neuer UMPC. Was ist diesmal anders? Er verwendet Windows CE anstatt Vista oder XP. Ein kindgroßer Androide mit beweglichen Gelenken und einer weichen Haut wurde an der Osaka Universität enthüllt.

Die Gerüchteküche über das Nokia 7500 ist nun schon seit einer ganzen Weile am brodeln. Wie alle anderen Handys der 7000er Serie ist das 7500 eher ein modisches Mobiltelefon.

You never ever heard of a device called Sony Vaio LA1? This could be, because it is a relatively new concept developed by Sony.
So, what makes this computer so special? It is a whole PC in the case of a 19" widescreen monitor. A 19" monitor, mainboard, 300GB hard disk, 1GB RAM, TV tuner card, and more, all in one case. The only peripherals which are needed are a (wireless) Sony keyboard and a mouse.
It costs about 2000 €.

It is a phone with a tragic story: the Opus Operis. It is developed by Zenum Technologies and ate away any budgets from sponsors and investors, so the customers thought the project is dead.
But Zenum reported back and is preparing to sell the Opus Operis with the help of very few suppliers. One of these suppliers will be Mobile-gadgets.net.
The phone's design slightly reminds of the Motorola Q, but shows much more ingenuity. It features a special cover for the display that prevents it from scratching and dust. It supports GPRS, IEEE 802.11b/g (WLAN), has a 2 Megapixel camera and a 2.5" display with an additional touch panel. The Opus Operis comes with Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0, which will make it highly extendable with software.
It is announced for April and will cost about 799 €.

This will enable the customer to adjust the phone's shape to his face, so he can use it more ergonomical and speak directly into the microphone, which shall enhance voice quality. Furthermore, it gives the phone an extraordinary, sophisticated look.
It should be released in May, but was delayed and now comes in April. At this time, there is no known price. We wait eagerly for it (the phone, and the price ;-)).

Well, the robot called "Plen" does not constitute an exception to the price, as he costs around 3000 €, but he is not as clumsy as his rivals. He is only 33 cm tall, weighs 700 g and can use roller skates, pick up large things and toss them, do a karate kick and much more.
The secret to his smooth and deliberate movements is a built-in accelerometer which registrates movements in every direction and the 33 MHz ARM7 processor which computes the right compensation movements.

New Linux phone from Grundig Mobile

Grundig Mobile brings a new phone called U900, which comes with a Linux operating system. The phone supports UTMS, GPRS, EDGE, GSM and Bluetooth, plays MP3 and AAC files and has two digital cameras.

XDA-developers.com was an excellent source for Microsoft Windows Mobile ROMs with updated languages and functions, now Microsoft claimed, that every ROM file which contains Microsoft software (which means "all") has to be deleted immediately. Microsoft states that the modification of the ROMs is a copyright-violation, because for updating the firmware files, the user had to bypass various security measures implemented by Microsoft to counteract firmware modifications.
To avoid legal action, XDA-developers removed the whole ROM section from its website. How should one now get a new ROM to update the language or to get new functions? We will observe the development and report if there is a twist.
Update: Also the contents of the forums had to be locked, so no one is even able to access the xda-forum or its Wiki. To help getting XDA-developers.com completely online again, its users started a petition.

Nokia makes smart2go, its navigation and mapping platform, available for free download. The user can be routed to Points of Interest (POI) and view their current position in over 150 countries.
The smart2go application will be made available at February 10th for selected Nokia S60 and Windows Mobile 5.0 devices.
For a subscription fee, customers may upgrade to full voice guided turn-by-turn satellite navigation.
